Following a series of social media posts that hinted at it, Italian supercar maker Lamborghini finally announced its NFT (non fungible token) Project. It's called Space Key and developed in collaboration with an unidentified artist It is built on a piece of advanced carbon fiber composite material that was delivered to the International Space Station for research purposes.

Italian supercar maker Lamborghini is taking a dive into the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The new project - called the Space Key - is a work of art that was made in collaboration with an artist who is not known. The NFT is an exclusive piece of digital art that can be accessed through a QR code. The project is a limited edition and will be auctioned off over the coming weeks.
The Space Key is made of carbon composite materials that Lamborghini, in the course of a research project in the year 2019 sent to the International Space Station. When it returned to earth carbon fiber was fashioned into this unique artwork. The physical piece is inscribed with an NFT serial number, which is tied to the corresponding digital artwork using a QR code that is located on the back.
NFTs, for those who aren't familiar are unique identifiers which are recorded on a distributed ledger of the blockchain and connected to a digital asset such as a picture or video, song or other record. This allows owners to ensure authenticity, scarcity, and trackability of their tokens on the internet.
Lamborghini is taking this unique approach to art to a new level by collaborating with NFT PRO, an white label NFT solution for business. In the coming weeks, Lamborghini will release details about this exciting venture. This includes the name of the unknown artists and a timeline for auction.

Developed in collaboration with an unknown artist The NFT is a collectible item that will be auctioned off in a few weeks. Its core is a piece made of advanced carbon fibre composite material, which was delivered to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of a research program. The carbon fiber has been 3D printed to form the base of each Space Key, which is connected to an exclusive, entirely digital artwork through an QR code on the back of the key. Only five Space Keys were produced.
NFTs are unique identification numbers that can be recorded on distributed ledgers, such as the Blockchain and linked to digital assets such as pictures. It's a hot subject among people who have more money than they have common sense. It was only an issue of time before automakers decided to cash in.
Space Key consists of five units. It was constructed using a real piece of carbon fiber composite which was delivered to the ISS in 2019. Each NFT will be linked to an exclusive digital artwork created by the same artist by using QR codes on the backside of the carbon fiber piece. After several weeks of posts on social media that hint at it, luxury car manufacturer Lamborghini has finally revealed its first non-fungible token (NFT) project. The Space Key is a collection of five physical items which allows you to access an exclusive digital work by an unidentified artist. The heart of every Space Key is a block of carbon fire composite material that was shipped to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of a research project. After returning to lamborghini urus car key was made into a QR code that links it to the digital component of the Space Key.
Each of the five Space Keys will feature a separate moment that occurs a few seconds apart as the Lamborghini Ultimae lifts off toward the stars. More than 600 million pixels each of the five images, which were taken by photographer Fabian Oefner.
Oefner utilized an inflatable camera equipped with a lens to capture individual images, which were then combined into the final photo. The result is a photograph that is out of this world. It captures the beauty of Earth and the futuristic, hyperrealistic look of a car rising from the Earth. The Space Keys are going to be auctioned off soon, but there is no specific date or place yet.

The auctions, which take place between February 1 through February 4, last for 75 hours and 50 minutes, the same time it took for Apollo 11 to leave Earth and enter lunar orbit. By making an online registration, you can bid on the five NFTs. Each will be sold separately and the winner will be awarded an artwork digitally made by renowned photographer Fabian Oefner, which captures the five distinct moments the Space Key passed during its flight in space.
